Obituary for
Kenneth Ray Gilmore
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth R. Gilmore will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Dr. Dennis Johnsey and Dr. David Shaw officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Gilmore, age 85, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana.
Mr. Gilmore was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Pineville, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a T/Sgt. in the United State Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Kenneth worked as a Salesman for Caplan’s Men’s Store for over 35 years and also for Nehi Bottling Co., as the warehouse manager.
Mr. Gilmore is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth “Butch” Gilmore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 ½ years, Rebecca Archer Gilmore of Alexandria; one daughter, Pamela Gosnell of Alexandria; two grandchildren, Amanda Randolph (Brian) of Alexandria, Jeremiah Gosnell of Alexandria; four great grandchildren, Nolan Gosnell of Alexandria, Quentin Gosnell of Alexandria and Brian Randolph, II of Alexandria and Nickademis Gosnell of Beloit, Wisconsin.
