Joseph Edward Moore Sr.
Memorial services for Mr. Joseph E. Moore, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, Louisiana with Reverend Robert Green officiating. Inurnment with will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, with full military honors and masonic rites by Oliver 84 Masonic Lodge, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Moore, age 78, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.
He was retired from the United States Air Force after serving 28 ½ years as a Senior Chief Master Sergeant. He was a Mason of the Oliver 84 Lodge. He was a past President of Alexandria Exchange Club and past President Chaplain of the Alexandria Optimus Club. He was the member responsible for starting the Junior Optimus Club of Alexandria. Mr. Moore loved people, helping others and especially loved Christmas. He was a loving husband, father and brother.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph E. Moore, Jr. of South Dakota and Simon Feasey of England; one daughter, Lytia Marie Lombardi (John) of Alexandria; two brothers, Larrie Moore of Ohio and Gary Moore (Linda) of Georgia; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
